When my son was 16, he stole money from his employer. He was given probation, which I made sure he went each time and paid the fines/fees. This isn’t showing on his public record. Now he is 21 years old and has stolen money from another employer. He was arrested. He was released with a court date. He didn’t go, warrant was issued for FTA. He turned himself in, pled guilty and was given a deferred sentence, fines, community service and 2 years probation. He didn’t comply with any of it and was arrested again. He was in jail for 8 days and released. That was in October, he hasn’t gone to probation since. He moved across the state without notifying his PO. Another warrant has been issued.
Answer
It is obvious your son has no interest in complying with any terms and conditions of probation. He will eventually be arrested, sentenced to time in jail and have a permanent conviction for a crime of moral turpitude on his criminal record. The length of his jail sentence will be at the discretion of the court that entered his probation.
