Asked 2/20/2016 – Port Lavaca, TX

I got a FMFR ticket around 7 years ago. From that I have had a surcharge put on my licence, but i never paid it. I also got several tickets (different counties) since then, and did nothing about them. they have turned into warrants. Now, i need to get my licence renewed, but cant because of all of this. I also cannot afford to pay the warrants, tickets and surcharge.

Answer

Yes, the warrants can be lifted and the amounts reduced, but you will have to contact a local attorney in the county where the tickets/warrants are issued. That attorney should help in making sure no further convictions are entered and no further surcharges are imposed.
