My fiance is on a fed hold, his charge is aggravated robbery there 2 other guys that’s on his case no evidence has linked him to the charges that they are trying to charge him for. He has a court appointed lawyer but is not working his case to his best interest.
Answer
Your fiancee’s federal case will be in a different courthouse, with different prosecutors, a different judge, and different criminal allegations than his State charges. The attorney appointed to represent him on the State charge will not automatically represent him on the Federal charge. When he is transferred to the Federal court, the Judge in that court will appoint an attorney to represent him if he cannot afford to hire his own counsel. You nor he has the right to choose who is appointed ti represent him. If you do not like the attorney appointed, you have to hire one on your own and pay your own legal fees.
