Asked 3/25/2016 – San Antonio, TX

I’m in the pre trial program for a class b misdemeanor. I got the judges approval to travel to North Carolina from San Antonio April 1- May 15 with my husband because he’s deploying for a year and he wants to see his family. I had my PTP orientation today and my supervisor officer told me I had an interview with her on April 14th. I explained how I couldn’t and she told me “the judge has no say so here. Be here on the 14th buy a plane ticket” well… We don’t have 500$ to cough up. I feel she is treating me unfair (I know I got myself in this mess). I got the judges approval the day we got the PTP signed byz him two week as of today. Does she have the right to do that? What’s the point of me getting court approval to travel if it doesn’t even come in handy for appointments like this.

Answer

Get your attorney to confer with all parties involved and get them on the same page. Once the diversion people hear from the Judge and the DA, everything should be fine.
