Am I still allowed to have my firearm in my car out of sight? Conditions of probation say nothing about firearms

On probation in Texas for DWI.

Answer

A DWI conviction will not prevent you from possessing a firearm in Texas. It is also not a standard condition of probation to prohibit the possession of a firearm, but I have not seen your particular order. Ask your probation officer at your next meeting.
