I was arrested for theft at Target. I have never been in trouble with the law and this would be my first offense. They totaled everything up to $289.00 and said it is a class b misdemeanor. They made me sign a form in target saying I tried to take it. I was on the phone and rushed out not even thinking straight. Also I just recently had a bone Marrow transplant so I do not have money for a lawyer. Also I’m wondering will they tell me I will have to go to jail if so I’m worried about that because I’m still in treatment for my transplant?

A class b misdemeanor is punishable by a fine of up to $2,000, confinement in jail for up to 180 days, or a maximum probationary period of up to 24 months.
