My male friend has been indicted on drug charges he has been increate for a 30 days or more he has a court date on the 20th can he make bond if not released after his court appearance if found guilty of charges.

Answer

I need to be clear on what you mean by “making bond”. If your friend has been in jail for 30 days, there should be a bond amount set on each case. He can be released when he posts a cash bond in the amount set by the magistrate, or if he can make arrangements with a bond company to post the required bonds in exchange for paying a percentage of the bond amount. A bond allows a person to be released from custody BEFORE his court date on the promise that person will return to court as directed. If and when a person is found guilty, that person must serve the sentence imposed; either probation or jail time, and bond will generally not be be allowed after judgment. Most cases have several court dates, so your friend’s case may not be disposed of on the 20th. I do not believe you have a complete understanding of the process, so I suggest you sit down and speak with a local attorney.
