I know someone that is in prison TDCJ and we want to bring that person home as soon as possible, he has an agg rob charge and is due for parole in 2018. He has a small child that he has never interacted with and was taken to jail from his probation office on a warrant for failure to have driver’s license and show financial responsibility for the vehicle. He just failed to go to court, and missed his court date and the judge did not want to reinstate his probation even though he was going to see probation regularly and paid some of his money, and gave him a 8 year sentence. Now we have a guy telling us that a parole lawyer who has connections can help them be released from prison. It cost $1200 and we have paid half already to get him home of course it’s a process as explained, but we were inclined to believe the individual telling us this due to asking a couple of political science majors in college tell us it’s possible based on who you know.

Answer

When was his sentenced imposed and how much back time did he have? This is an aggravated offense, so 1/2 of the sentence must be served, no matter what (in his case, 4 years), Also note that parole is not a right, so even if it can be shown that your friend is not a threat to society; it doesn’t mean parole will be granted. It’s your money, but ask questions first before you throw it away.
