Asked 4/5/2016 – San Antonio, TX

I have a warrant for my arrest and I want to get married at the court house before I turn myself in.Will the court house run my name for warrants

Answer

You can get married at the courthouse, and if a valid warrant is outstanding for your arrest, you are subject to detention if it is discovered by any law enforcement official. You can get arrested at the courthouse, on your way to the courthouse, leaving the courthouse, on your way to your honeymoon, etc. Do your spouse a favor and start your life together off properly. Handle up on your business, get a lawyer and clean this mess up.
