Can I sue the city or police department

I am doing remodeling in my house; 2 days ago from the city of Bunker Hill came to my house and shut down the remodeling project without any notice because of the worker’s cars block the street. can I sue the city? .on the other hand they inform the police department and police car come in front of my house for one hour like I am a criminal or murderer to put me in prison!!!!!!!! Can I sue the police because they stop in front of my house for more than one hour like I am a criminal too?

Answer

You can sue anybody you want, but I’m not sure you will get the results you expect if you do. First, find out if there is any city ordinance that covers your situation. Then determine how to accomplish the remodeling of your home with the city’s blessing. (I’m pretty sure a house has been remodeled in Houston before, so I’m fairly confident this can be accomplished). A local attorney can help. Good Luck.
