My husband is in prison and we are hoping he gets released early on probation or parole. We lived in the county he got arrested in, but after his arrest i lost our home and had to move to another county. Can he be released on probation to my address and the county i live in? Or does he have to have a place in the same county first and then put in a request to move? Its in his best interest not to go back to the county he was arrested in, all his associates, all the drugs, etc. are there. Would it matter to the court or PO to know that my county is better for him and his probation terms will be able to be met if he comes here with me? He doesnt really have an address or help or good company in the county of his arrest.
Answer
Where your husband will be released will be addressed during the parole release process. He will be interviewed before his release about where he will live, who he will be living with, etc. He will NOT just be dropped off at the courthouse steps where he was convicted. Good luck
