Can the bails bondsman revoke his bond? what would be the process if that were possible? Can they take him to jail at any time?

My friend is out on bond for a misdemeanor theft and hasn’t been able to make recent payments on the 300 dollars left . but has been attending all court dates.

Answer

I assume the $300 is due to the bond company. It is possible for a bond company to file an affidavit to go off bond with the court. If the court grants the request, a warrant is issued for the arrest of the defendant and the bond company is discharged from liability. See Article 17.19 of the Texas Code of Criminal Procedure. Make sure your friend’s attorney knows about the situation with the bond company.
