Asked 7/21/17 – Denton, TX
Hello, I am trying to see if I can have my juvenile record sealed. For my juvenile record, I had a deferred prosecution charge in 2003 for misdemeanor possession of marijuana and completed the deferred prosecution after 2 months. In 2006, as an adult, I was arrested for a drug offense and received felony deferred adjudication and successfully completed it in 2010. I also received an order of non-disclosure for this adult offense in 2016. Will I be able to place my juvenile record back in to restricted access or possibly have it sealed?
Answer
It is possible to seal juvenile records (See Section 58.003 of the Texas Family Code). Contact a local attorney for assistance.
