I was arrested and detained for crimes I didn’t commit and was held for 96 days i was given a pr bond after 96 days then the charges were dismissed by da for 2 out of 3 charges I then had to go to jury trial for the 3rd which I was found not guilty of am I not due money for pain and suffering and losing my house car job etc?

Answer

There IS a civil cause of action for malicious prosecution, but it is VERY difficult to be succeed with. It is not enough just to be found not guilty in the criminal matter; you basically have to prove the State knew you were not guilty but proceeded against you anyway. Contact a local civil attorney and see what he or she says.
