Hi I’m a 16 1/2 year old; I think I might be pregnant with my 19 year old boyfriend. When we started dating I was 16 & he was 18. He recently turned 19. I turn 17 this month on the 26th. We’re 2 years, 3 months & 1 day apart to be exact. Can he still go to jail if I am pregnant? I currently live with him. Me and my family are going through some things so we’re not exactly close right now. Now His Caretaker who use to be his caretaker when he was younger, loves me, adores me, cares for me and etc. (Him & His family talk but aren’t close. They fight a lot as well. ) she’s a nice elderly lady and I was wondering, If I am pregnant, Can she take me to the doctor, or set up an appointment or what ever is needed to be done? (or can my boyfriend do it? ) I’m asking this because since me and my family aren’t close currently, I don’t want to talk to them ( once I am positive that I am pregnant,) About me having a kid and I don’t want them having anything to do with my kid if I am pregnant. I love my family, I check up on them every now and then, but we won’t ever be close to each other. I’m scared out my mind about this. Please get back to me as soon you can. I need answers. Thank you.

Answer

You are minor until you turn 18 or are otherwise emancipated. Until you and your boyfriend get married. You will need parental consent for “what ever else needs to be done”
