Asked 2/22/2016 – Ranger, TX

I have a motion to revoke cause I got another charge cause my friend I was with stole stuff from Wal-Mart and put stuff in my purse I was unaware. Bonded out but now I’m wondering if judge won’t put me in jail…I have all of my community service done and can’t get caught up on payments till 3rd of Feb. Is it possable he will just reinstate my probation. My court date is just a pre trial so what does that mean

Answer

It is possible for your probation to be continued, but that decision is totally discretionary with the Judge, if the allegations in the motion to revoke your probation are found true. New charges are not good, especially if the new charges are similar to the charge you were placed on probation for. Your compliance with the other terms of probation and the recommendation of the probation deportment will be factors as well. You need to talk with a local attorney pronto.
