Asked 6/17/2016 – Cleburne, TX
I’ve been on probation for 8 years I got revoked once a few years ago did 6 months then got out. My charges have nothing to do with drugs.
I smoked pot and am probably about to have to go take a hair folicle since I super chickened out and didn’t go take my piss test. I know super stupid right! I prob won’t pass the hair test and I wanted to know how I could avoid going back to jail. Should I check myself into a rehab, or what? How can I make this right. (I don’t smoke pot or do drugs anymore, I just got off my meds cause my insurance ran out went a little crazy and messed up) please any advice would be amazing.
Answer
The best way to avoid going to prison for violating your probation is: don’t violate your probation. It’s a little late for you to do anything now. You can’t unscramble eggs, and you can’t go back in time, not smoke dope, not miss your scheduled UA and not be in violation of your probation. Get with your attorney PRONTO. He or she MAY be able to talk with the Judge and/or DA, but you need to get some guidance in your specific case.
