Asked 8/1/2016 – Houston, TX

I have a felony on my background that’s about 6 years old now. I have a job but I want something better which is better getting my background expunged are sealed. How much will it cost

Answer

If a final conviction was entered on your case, you cannot have it expunged or non-disclosed. Final convictions are final. The only way to remove this from your record is through pardon from the Governor. If, however, you were granted deferred adjudication probation on your case, successfully completed the probation and had the case dismissed, you may petition for a non-disclosure. You would have to contact local attorneys for quotes for such a petition.
