My husband was recently arrested in Tx for a fugitive warrant from St. Louis MO he had probation from 09-13 if he was to violated it was (7yrs).he was doing probation here in Texas which he violated didn’t finish he didn’t get any extra charges when he got arrested my question is what are his options now or what can we do and should I contact a lawyer here in Houston or in St. Louis he has court for ICA not sure what that is
Answer
Missouri retains jurisdiction over your husband’s case, so it will be the court up there that makes the decision about reinstating his probation. Extradition is the process of transferring your husband from Texas to Missouri, and you can retain a local attorney for that process. If and when he is transferred to Missouri, you will have to retain a Missouri attorney in the probation revocation.
