How long does it take to get a parole certificate?

My husband made parole and they approved the address. His scheduled release date is May 3rd. Now they are saying he has to get a parole certificate. How long does this take? Will his release date change to a later time?

Answer

I understand the wait for your husband’s release is frustrating, but no one can give you any more information than what you have. His scheduled release date is May 3, and hopefully, he will be released then. Parole is not a right, so there is no enforcement mechanism to MAKE the Parole Board do something by a specified date. The Board always has the option to respond with: “PAROLE DENIED”. Your husband will be released when he is released.
