Asked 8/22/17 – Mineral Wells, TX

My husband has three different drug charges to was sentenced to 12 months State Jail running current then he got sentenced to four years TDCJ how long will he do

Answer

Once sentence is imposed, jurisdiction of a criminal case is transferred to the Texas Department of Corrections. It is that governmental agency, particularly the Board of Pardons & Parole, that credits good time and schedules an estimated release date (attorneys and judges have no idea about parole dates). Once your husband is transferred to a TDC facility, you can look on the TDCJ website and find his estimated release date. Good luck.
