To answer your question, a petition for emancipation must be filed with the District Court in the county where you reside, and you must go through the legal process. Emancipation is not a single page form you can process yourself. An attorney will be required, and the costs will vary. Emancipation will probably not help you, however, in your job search. The age restrictions employers have are generally not affected by your emancipation
