My fiance was arrested for shoplifting he also he had a warrant for his arrest for violating probation now his bond is set at $100,000 because it’s theft 1500 enhance with 2 priors also he said he has like 23 months of back time i guess like jail credits so can somebody please tell me how this works and what can happen to him in this type of case please.

I would need to know what he is on probation for and was he given straight probation and was he given deferred adjudication probation. I also need to know the date of the offense for the new theft case; the law regarding theft cases changed recently. If his new case is a state jail felony and the indictment has 2 enhancement paragraphs, the punishment range is increased 2 levels (2 degree felony – 2 tp 20 years TDC and a $10,000 fine)
