I got a parking ticket for parking in a disabled parking spot it was raining & the parking spots where full can I do defensive driving?

Can I do defensive driving since I don’t have 500 dollars to pay it or at least community service for it it’s my first ticket and I’m really sad that I even go one I should parked far away.

Answer

Parking in a space reserved of disabled patrons without the appropriate placard is not a moving violation, so defensive driving is not an option to resolve the citation. You must contact the court to see if options such as community service are available to resolve the matter.
