My husband is facing federal conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute methamphetamines and I want to know if the DEA agent that filed the complaint against my husband got caught lying on the stand at the bond hearing, if that is a good defense and how can they believe anything this agent says after he was on the stand under oath and he lied and got caught?
Answer
If any witness is found to be not credible, it will undermine that witness’ testimony and makes it less likely for the Judge or Jury to believe that person’s version of the events. One lying witness, however, does NOT mean a case will automatically be dismissed. Your husband’s attorney would be the best person to speak with regarding the status of his case after the new developments.
