I was arrested in TX for DWI in 2010. In 2012 case was dismissed. I was not convicted. If expunged, who can see record?

I am contemplating whether or not to apply for Nursing School and was wondering if the Department of Nursing would be able to see the expungement. If not, who has access to my records after the expungement. Please help! Thanks

Answer

If an expunction is granted, no one will be able to see any record of the event; the criminal event you were charged with didn’t happen, so all records will be destroyed. This is only if the case was dismissed, no finding of guilt was entered and no plea was entered on a reduced charge. Contact a local attorney.
