Asked 2/2/2016 – Houston, TX

i was given a trespass warning from a thrift store i regularly shop at because the manager felt my continual complaints and questioning about wrongdoing was interfering.. i appealed to corporate headquarters..and after a month long investigation,, my accusations were found to be true,,and the lead investigator recommended the trespass be lifted,, the COO agreed and i was sent a text that i could resume shopping at this location on a certain date… i went on that date and shopped,, no problem, the next day.. i shopped again,,and long story short,, i ended up asking the manager a questions which she then turned around and said i was rude and inappropriate, i said that is not my intention..but she kept saying you can not talk to me that way.. i finally just walked away.. and then the assistant manager, came and asked me to leave the store.. i said, fine.. and left..
a couple days later,, i went into the store for maybe 15 minutes,,purchased some things, and as i was leaving,, one of the employees who i have become friendly with,, told me that they had called police ….. can the police come and charge me,, ?? the store didn’t say a word today, they just rang up my purchases..

Answer

If you were given notice that the criminal trespass warning was rescinded, you should be OK. However, a new notice can be issued at the discretion of the owner/manager. Make sure you have proof that the trespass notice was withdrawn on your person every time you enter the store.
