Asked 9/1/2016 – Lufkin, TX

I failed a UA on felony probation it’s my first positive urine test it was a mistake but I’ll defiantly own up to but I’m willing to do drug classes will my probation officer work with me and not send me to inpatient rehab because I can’t lose my job not I got to pay my bills or I’ll lose everything are they usually trying to work around your schedule it’s my first failed urine test in two years

Answer

When you violate the terms of your probation, you lose control of how your case will proceed. A motion to revoke your probation will or will not be filed with the court (discretionary with your probation officer). If a motion to revoke is filed and the allegations are found to be true, your probation can be continued, modified and/or extended, or revoked and you could be sent to prison (discretionary with the Judge). Good luck.
