If my father was murdered in a county jail, can the jail be sued?

Also, this happened about 10 years ago so I know the statute of limitations was two years this happened in Texas also he was disabled …I am located in New Mexico

Answer

The statute of limitations has probably expired for any civil suit against the county, but you can contact a personal injury attorney in the county where the incident occurred to make sure.
