If you are on witness list, but have not been interviewed, how much time do they have to interview?

Asked 6/13/2016 – Plainview, TX

An arrest has been made and other interviews done a year ago. Trial will be in the fall for theft and exploitation. Will they interview witnesses now that have not been interviewed before the arrest?

Answer

It is up to the party who issued the subpoena for you to appear to determine if and when to interview before trial. You may call and ask the attorney if there are plans to interview you prior to trial.
