I’m wondering if juvenile probation officers are required to give urinalysis tests.

I am a juvenile and I have been arrested twice. The first was around last year for POM and the second was sometime not too long ago for assault. I was put on Deferred adjudication for the first arrest for 6 months and I only got through a couple of months before I was arrested again. I went back to court shortly after and was put on probation for a year and I haven’t been drug tested since I received my new probation officer around 4 or 5 months ago and i’m wondering if they are required to give urinalysis tests.

Answer

UA tests are randomly administered at the discretion of the probation officer. You may be asked to provide a sample tomorrow, or you may not have to provide a sample at any time during your probation.
