Is a class c shoplifting misdemeanor considered a felony?

Asked 3/19/2016 – Houston, TX

Filling out legal documents & the question is “have you been convicted of a felony?” Yes or no.
Should i put no or?
It was a class c shoplifting & it was dismissed bc of probation.

Answer

One offense cannot be a felony and a misdemeanor. Theft, however, no matter if it is a felony or a misdemeanor, IS a crime of moral turpitude, with for reaching consequences upon a conviction
