Asked 4/9/2016 – League City, TX

I was caught shoplifting from Spencers in TX, total of around $30. The cops weren’t called and no charges were pressed. I have received 3 of their civil demands (for $350 then 2 for $700) I’ve ignored and now they’re calling asking to talk to my parents.

Answer

Continue to ignore the civil demands. It is extremely unlikely that you will be sued. You can contact a local attorney to send a letter to the store and their representatives, acknowledging their right to sue, but forcing them to stop contact with you.
