My friend has been arrested and a bond was set but he has a hold on him from another state. I have contacted several bonding companies and they won’t post bond for fear of the other state coming to get him. I was told that the other state would have 10 days to come get him if bond was posted. I’m not sure how to get him released until court.

You are probably going to have to talk with an attorney in the state where the hold in pending to see what can be done on that case. There, an attorney MAY be able to get a bond set, and have a local bond
company post the required bond. With your friend being from out of state, however, you may have problems finding a willing bond company, so you may have to post a cash bond.
