Asked 3/19/2016 – Desoto, TX

I have a legal service through my job and have an attorney providing services for my tickets he says he released the warrants and now I have court dates I had a 700.00 ticket and he did get it reduced to 388.00 but I have had other attorneys to get tickets reduced by a lot more and the other tickets are also reduce to from like 700 to 388 and 400. is this normal or is it because im going through my jobs legal services and this is the best I get? I can pick other attorneys its a really long list of choices so is it him and he really is doing all he can or is he not helping to his full capacity? my tickets are in dallas and Desoto texas. thank you for your time

Answer

Each court and each case is different, and I would NOT blame the lawyer for the amount of any fees you are required to pay. Everybody knows someone who had one billion dollars of tickets and THEIR attorney got them ALL dismissed with no fee and nobody had to go to court. Problem is nobody can ever find the name and number of that magic attorney. Call a local attorney, most of us do not charge a consultation fee. Find out exactly what you have and what you can expect, then go from there.
