Is there a way to get an Eviction that has been dismissed, off my record?

Asked 8/4/2016 – Fort Worth, TX

The case was dismissed. I am currently looking for an apartment and of course my public record shows an Eviction was filed and dismissed. Is there a way I can get it expunged or sealed? Landlord

Answer

An eviction is not a criminal matter, so expunction is not an option. Contact an attorney who practices in the area of consumer law. Clearing this from your credit report is the goal.
