Asked 8/15/2016 – San Antonio, TX

I have a misdemeanor A assault and I’ve been off of probation for about 2 years and this is the one and only thing that I have done ever in my life that was bad! But it also isn’t showing up on my background only what I did. What does that mean?

Answer

If you are on probation, that means a plea was entered in your case and you will never be able to have the matter expunged. You may be able, however, to have an order of non-disclosure entered, if deferred adjudication probation was granted in your case, you successfully complete the probation and the matter is dismissed, and there was no affirmative finding of family violence made by the court. at the time the original judgment was granted Contact the attorney who represented you on your plea to see if non-disclosure is available to you.
