Asked 2/2/2016 – Denton, TX
My son is completing time in a Texas county jail- he just signed for 9 mo- still has 45 days to serve there ( but may be sent to the state jail to complete- has been there since July). He will then go to Montgomery County Texas for a charge where he gave his brothers name in a traffic stop but did not give pic id. What are the chances he can be bench warranted directly to Houston and can he fill out paperwork to bench warrant himself (no atty) prior to completing remainder of his time for this charge (fraud of services).
What type of time might he get for the id fraud?
Thank you
Answer
There is no way any attorney can tell you the probable outcome of a case from a note on the internet. Your son will be appointed an attorney who will discuss the case with the district attorney. Your son’s criminal record and the exact details of the case will determine the plea recommendation made. Wait until he is transferred, find out the attorney who is representing him, then go from there.
