Asked 6/24/2016 – Dallas, TX

I am currently going through the court process of a 2nd DWI in Texas.

I had numerous dld violations within a week, and had a dentist note regarding my use of an antiseptic mouth rinse and orajel prior to an emergency dental repair.

At my pretrial bond conditions hearing, I told them about this but my 6violations which were in the week of the use of dental products, but they reported them to the court and they issued a no bond warrant stating bond is insufficient.

I’m turning myself in with my attorney tomorrow as advised. What can I expect? I had no previous violations or failed drug tests. Next court date is June 30th but I want to be proactive and follow the advice of my attorney.

What is typically the outcome of these no bond warrants such as mine?

Thank you

Answer

You will be booked into jail and remain until you are brought to court. The Judge will review your case and determine whether your bond will be reinstated, or if you will remain in jail until your case is disposed of. I suggest that your attorney not only have the documentation from the dentist regarding the mouth rinse, but the instructions you received on when the rinse was to be applied (hopefully these times will match up which your violation times).
