My husband was sentenced to 4 years but this is his first offense ever. This is on a exposure charge. He has never been in any other trouble. When he could be possibly be up for parole! I have heard different answers!

Answer

Your husband’s parole eligibility date depends on the exact charge he was convicted of. Once he is transferred to the Texas Department of Corrections, his parole date will be listed on their web-site. If he was convicted of an offense listed in Texas Code of Criminal Procedure Article 42.12 3 (g), his first eligibility date will be 2 years from the date of his conviction. Any other type oi conviction will allow parole to be granted sooner.
