Recording Phone Conversation. My spouse was arrested on Criminal Charges in Texas & left to Maryland after the bail. Now when I called his cousin from Texas to Maryland, he recorded the phone conversation of mine. He gave that phone conversation to my spouse & he hand overed to Texas attorney. Is it legal to do that?

Answer

Yes, it is legal for one party to record a phone conversation he/she is a part of (it’s a differed story if you record the phone conversation of 2 other people who do not know you are recording them)
