My DL is currently suspended, originally because of surcharges and after that for DWLI tickets I have not paid so they were reported to the Omni Failure to Appear whatever and warrants were issued. I worked 19 miles from my home so I continue to drive. I don’t have a car so I borrow friends or mostly drive my boyfriends. Recently I rear ended a car on the interstate. She slammed on her breaks and I did too but her car stopped faster than mine. Knowing that I would be arrested and my boyfriends car impounded, I panicked and ran. Now of course my boyfriend has received calls from a detective and his and their insurance adjusters. I know that was so stupid but I don’t know how to fix it or what to do now.

You have GOT to speak with an attorney. Getting your license cleared may not be as difficult as you think and you need a comprehensive game plan to deal with this mess. You can’t run forever, but get a plan and speak with counsel before dealing with the police.
