Asked 2/20/2-16- Marble Falls, TX

A few months back I was pulled over by a police officer that likes to pick on myself and my family, and I was arrested for a suspended license I went to court this morning 2/18/2016 and my lawyer told me that because my license is currently valid.

Answer

The question is whether your license was valid at the time of your detention/arrest. Obtain a certified copy of your driving record from the Department of Public Safety and have your attorney show your record to the prosecutor assigned to your case. If your license was valid on the date, that should resolve the matter. If it was not valid on the date in question, the fact that it is valid now will help in plea bargaining.
