I got arrested for DWI in Texas.. It was my first arrest, alcohol level of .15 whats the worst case scenario that can happen to me? Also what if I cannot hire an attorney what should I do?

Answer

DWI .15 is a class a misdemeanor, punishable by up to 1 years in jail, a $4,000 fine or a maximum probationary period of up to 24 months. There are ancillary issues with respect to your driving ability. You have a right to a trial, a right to cross examine the witnesses against you and to present witnesses on your own behalf. If you cannot afford an attorney, the Court will appoint an attorney to represent you.
