Asked 9/17/2016- Dallas, TX

I got pulled over and got a ticket for driving without a license and went to court, and the court said if I did my community service that it would not be sent to dmv if I did not get into any trouble or traffic tickets. So when it was time to get my license I went paid my reinstatement fee and they gave me my license. I check it for the next few days to up to a week and it shows its clear and I’m good to drive. Them I check it the next week and it shows it is suspended again for driving without a license. My question is why did they lie and send it off after we already came to an agreement and can they fix it or is it too late now?

Answer

If a conviction was reported to the Department of Public Safety in error, the problem can be fixed. Contact a local attorney to determine exactly why a suspension was issued, and go from there.
