I shot at and grazed a police officer. I’ve already served 12 years in TDC on this aggravated assault case. I was once part of the CRIPS gang and have renounced my affiliation for the past 6 years. I have served time in the prison system since childhood. At the age of 37, I will have half of my life behind bars and half of my life as a free man. I work while incarcerated at the DPS office as a graphics designer. I am sought out to speak at religious forums and participate in all cultural events and holidays. I don’t claim one religion over another. I’m a seeker if knowledge, I study them all, and practice what I believe from each. I managed to get my GED while here as well. I would really like to make parole on first visit if I’m not released prior.

I commend you on your transformation, and I wish you good luck on your parole interview. That being said, most potential parolees with aggravated charges are not successful on their first visit. You and your family may consider retaining an attorney in your area who specializes in preparing parole packets.
