Asked 4/20/2016 – McKinney, TX

I am scheduled to turn myself in on a misdemeanor pom charge. Apart of my plea deal was to be allowed to go to work on a daily basis. The judge didn’t sign this agreement. What should I do?This is Collin County, TX

Answer

Contact you attorney ASAP to insure the work release order is in the system before you turn yourself in. If you fail to report to jail as directed, new felony charges will be filed against you. If the Sheriff does not have the work release order, you obviously will not be released to go to work
