Asked 6/23/2016 – Corpus Christi, TX

Ok what if I get a vehicle but can’t drive yet. But it’s in my possession and parked in my driveway. Do I have to transfer my mobile breathalyzer to a interlock system?

Answer

You would have to review the order requiring the device, or have your attorney talk with the Judge who entered the order. If you are not driving, the fact you have a car parked in your driveway does not change your situation. This may change when your license is re-instated and you want to resume driving.
