Asked 1/22/2016 – San Antonio, TX

I had gotten a speeding citation about 2 months ago, went to court and was able to do Defensive Driving course. With one hour to go in completing the course, I get another speeding citation, however with this one I just don’t feel that it was right. I was in the left lane and the officer was tailgating me for quite a while and it gave me a bad feeling since it was a Dodge Charger Police vehicle and you cant tell when its dark in your rear view mirror, so I sped up to move to the right lane in front of other cars and thats when he flashed his lights.

Answer

Contact a local attorney. See if deferred adjudication is available to keep this 2nd citation from appearing as a conviction on your driving record.
