I received a citation for theft the item I accidentally took for I exchanged the item but forgot I didn’t pay for the item. Walked out of the store , The item was 79 , what do I do ?? I just opened a credit card with them so there was so no reason for me take it

This is a crime of moral turpitude, so you cannot afford to have a conviction in this case. Whatever you do, do NOT just send a check to pay the fine. Contact a local attorney to represent you; the retainer fee will be about the same as the retainer fee for a traffic ticket.
